is this just a upgrade package i downloaded ? and should i install 501 first
Sorry about that , it's back, had some last minute things to check on. From the looks of it, you are missing a lot of the files. Just get the new package and re-upload it and post back on how things go.
I downloaded the 502 as well and unzipped on server and I notice that all folders are set to permission 700 and all files are 600 should they be 755 and 644
Looks like the newbies will have problem installing.
Seems to happen because of the marquee/links in the theme header, if you disable your antivirus just until you set the links, (http://www.yoursite.com/admin.php?op=themeconsole) Then you can turn your antivirus back on and all is fine. We are still looking into this.
